Changes coming in January

Patrick and I will be joining Patricio and the Fernwood crew in January as we move food prep on site. With that, we'll also be adding a bigger and static menu with favourites like Butter Chicken, Bison Meatball Sandwich and Tacos everyday. We'll also be expanding the retail selection and adding breakfast selections. With luck we'll also be adding a patio and liquor license in the spring to compliment a summer tapas menu.

We've got two new art installations in place, thanks to help from friend and artiste Rob Ander.
Our retail shelves are now in place as well and we'll be stocking market products starting next week.

We're open! We'll be expanding the inventory over the next week or two, but we're open with soup, dairy, frozen dinners, drinks and pastry. Fruit fruit and produce, more bread and ready to eat foods coming soon. Hours are tues - sat 11-5. Starting Sept 9 will be expanding business hours. Come see us!

I'm opening this store this week - yes, I am, ready or not! Only little things left..I'm sure Fernwood can wait a week or two for my groovy sunflower seed table tops and the piece of installation art I have planned.
We'll start with daily specials, soup, take home meals, bread, cookies and Island Bison, Galloping Goose Sausage and Heritage Farms Chicken. As well as soft drinks, coffee, milk, eggs, cream, Happy Planet juice, Avalon yogurt and whatever else I can get my hands on. Produce will need to wait a week until I get my shelving finished.

The counter and light are in! Thanks to Chris at Only Human and the crew at McDonald Electric for pulling it together! If the health inspector cooperates we should be open early next week.It's starting to look like a store!

w, this is a lot of work and taking longer than expected. I guess great things come to those who wait...
The service counter is starting to emerge and our Fort St store is developing a large pile of equipment and product destined for Fernwood.
The coffee machine at least is operative now...

The new floor is in and it's beautiful, today the coffee brewer went in as well. That'll make construction easier for everyone.
Next Step: Chris Rothery at OnlyHuman.ca is helping out building our service counter - it's going to look super slick.
